WedCut doesn't hand you a finished video: it hands you a project. It exports the first edit as FCPXML for Final Cut Pro and DaVinci Resolve, as XML for Premiere Pro and also as EDL; you import it from the File menu and get the sequence already cut, with your original clips linked, ready to finish.
| Editor | File | How to import it | What you see next |
|---|---|---|---|
| Final Cut Pro | .fcpxml | File → Import → XML… and choose the .fcpxml. | A new event with your edit inside. |
| DaVinci Resolve | .fcpxml | File → Import → Timeline… and choose the .fcpxml. Don't drag it into the Media Pool: that way it comes in as loose clips. | A timeline with just your edit and, in a second file, your sorted wedding: import both. |
| Premiere Pro | .xml | File → Import… and choose the .xml. | It doesn't open by itself: a new bin appears in the Project panel; the sequence is inside, double-click to open it. |
| Other editors | .edl | Through your editor's option to import edit decision lists (EDL). | The cut list of the edit. |
Everything that makes the film yours: trimming cuts, colour, sound, titles and the final render. WedCut does the culling of the footage and the first cut of the whole wedding; you decide the final edit in your usual editor.
It's almost always the drive: connect it and open the file again. If you moved the footage to another folder, use your editor's relink media option and point it to the new folder. And if it still won't work, write to soporte@wedcut-ai.com with a screenshot.
