WedCut is a desktop app (Mac and PC) for wedding editors and videographers: AI picks the best footage, spots the key moments (the kiss, the vows, the first dance) and builds a first cut in the style you choose, delivered editable in Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve or Premiere (FCPXML + EDL). Your footage never leaves your computer.

Unlike apps that hand you a finished rendered video, WedCut leaves you an editable first cut in your own editing software, built with the judgement of a professional wedding editor, and understands the emotional moments of a wedding. You keep creative control.

The AI looks at each clip (scene, moment, emotion, quality and recording time) and floats the good ones to the top. You stop scrubbing thousands of clips; you review an already curated selection.

Before editing you choose how to tell the wedding: Narrative, with the day in order and the judgement of a professional wedding editor, or Musical, cut to the peaks of the song you choose and different every time. Inside Musical you pick the style: Vibrant, faster, or Flowing, calmer. Then you set the length of the teaser, tell it in your own words what you want in Edit notes («more ceremony, no drones») and pick with «In / Out» where each clip starts. Under every edit, What this cut is made of shows which scenes made it in and which were left out. If you are a PRO member, My style also appears in that same Musical style selector, taken from your finished teasers and short films.

Yes, if you are a WedCut PRO member. In «My style» you add teasers or short films you have already finished (MP4 or MOV): WedCut learns your rhythm to the music, the moments and shots you pick, how you open and close, where you place each moment and whether you chain or alternate them. Then, in the Musical mode of the teaser and the short film, you pick it next to Vibrant and Flowing and your weddings are edited in your style; Narrative and the long film do not change. You notice it from the first video, and with three it is complete. 5 videos a month are included. Your videos are not uploaded: they are analysed on your computer, only three frames of each shot go to the AI, and what is kept are the measurements, not the video.

Editable. It exports FCPXML and EDL: the first cut assembled in your Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve or Adobe Premiere timeline. And if you want, the same file carries ALL your takes in folders by scene, already tagged, so you can swap or add shots without leaving your editor.

No. WedCut is local (Mac & PC): your clients' footage never leaves your machine. Only the analysis travels, metered.

No. The AI is included in the price of each wedding: you don't need an account with any AI provider or any API key. You install WedCut, analyse and export to Final Cut, DaVinci Resolve or Premiere, on Mac or Windows.

An editing Mac or PC is enough. Being local, you use your own hardware and don't wait in server queues.

One camera file, however long it runs. If your wedding is 740 files, that's 740 clips — it makes no difference that one lasts eight seconds and another twenty minutes. It's the honest unit: what a wedding costs us to analyse depends on how many clips there are to look at, not on how many hours they run.

You don't need to. Drop the folder into the app and it counts them and tells you the size and the price before it starts. No surprises, no metered charges: the price is fixed before it touches a file.

So every wedding costs you half: with the membership the whole price list is half price, and the discount on a single wedding is already more than a month of membership. If you edit weddings every month, it pays for itself. It also includes My style: Musical mode edits your weddings with your rhythm and your way of telling the day, taken from your own teasers and short films (5 videos a month).

No. The balance is yours forever and never changes value. The M wedding you bought is still an M even if you drop the membership. The only thing you lose is the discount on weddings you buy from then on.

You pay to analyse the footage, once per wedding. Everything else is free: generating the edits, regenerating them as often as you like, the music and its BPM, the trims, the preview and exporting the XML/EDL. Re-analysing the same files isn't charged either.

No. You add a top-up, 100 clips at a time, to the same project. And the ladder is built so that adding up costs exactly the same as buying outright: two S are exactly one M. It never pays to throw away what you already bought.
